I'm in the process of transitioning careers from purchasing to adult education and distance learning. I graduated from the University of Phoenix Master’s program in November 2005. My Bachelor's degree is in Business Administration with a minor in Japanese Language and Culture from the University of Tennessee (GO VOLS!). For many years I worked in the chemical manufacturing sector in various Procurement positions. In every job, I always ended up with the responsibility for training and procedural documentation. It’s something I’m good at, and I enjoy. My most recent position was actually an official training role, Procurement Process Education and Training Lead. I thoroughly enjoy the field of training and education, so I decided to make it my new career. |
I just moved Matthews, North Carolina (Charlotte) with my cat, Max. Max loves to help me work by standing in front of the monitor and trying to catch the pointer. I have an awesome family. Though we're spread out and don't get to see each other often, we have a blast when we do. We don’t always agree or see eye-to-eye on issues, but we still manage to have a blast together. |

I’ve lived in many places (MN, TX, NY, PA, OH, TN, Japan, LA, IL, SC), but spent most of the time in Pittsburgh, PA. I guess that living in so many different places helped me become the travel bug I am today. I love to ski and try to take at least one trip out west per year to feed my addiction. I also play tennis and rollerblade, but my knees are starting to object. I am also an avid card and game player. My Texas Hold’em skills are not too shabby. When I feel like taking a break from the real world, I don my superhero cape, and take to the streets to fight crime in City of Heroes (Protector server: MzBodacious, Scott Free, LadyGodiva, Cat-astrophe/Villians: Cape Fear, Miss Guided, Zingarra).
